How to Customizing Local Contact File
1. Open the local contact file.

BELOW IS TO CREATE A YEALINK REMOTE PHONEBOOK (which is NOT the same as Local Contact Database)
These are working files to use for testing etc.
(also note that the template code I use only HTTP and not the normal HTTPS that AWS servers use. From time to time there's problem with using the HTTPS when updating the Directory.)
=============
Using MS Notes
COPY the below code exactly as including the footer & header such as <?xml version = "1.0 etc, etc.
Edit the names & telephone numbers.
Save the file as .xml file, even though the notes pull down box won't have xml as a choice, just append the file name with.xml
Upload to AWS
=========================================Do not copy these equal signs, just copy below
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<YealinkIPPhoneBook>
<Title>Yealink</Title>
<Menu Name="D1">
<Unit Name="Fred, Becker" Phone1="914-595-1400" Phone2="" Phone3="" default_photo="Resource:"/>
<Unit Name="Larry, Walsh" Phone1="914-595-1400" Phone2="" Phone3="" default_photo="Resource:"/>
</YealinkIPPhoneBook>

CLOUD9PHONE
DIRECTORY / PHONEBOOK
Yealink phones support an external directory file which can be hosted on the Coredial provisioning server (sipregistration.com) or your web server.
To upload the file to sipreg you use the file upload utility in Custom Manufacturers as described above in Firmware.
Edit the link in the custom template to point to the filename of the directory file, using the context of your customer in place of "pbxcontext."
remote_phonebook.data.1.url = http://sipregistration.com/pbxcontext/directory.xml
remote_phonebook.data.1.name = directory
Apply the custom template to an extension in its endpoint tab/configuration template dropdown.
Wait 5 mins.
Autoprovision or reboot the phone.
The directory should appear.
To update the file on sipreg, just re-upload it in the Manufacturer and hit Save.
To validate the content of the file on sipreg you can paste the link into a browser. Since the page has no style information it will look like a blank page, but you right click/view source to show the content.
If you are hosting the file on your web server, you do not need to create a custom manufacturer, just clone the file in Endpoint Templates and put the absolute url to the file, such as:
